I bought the GLP velvet crisps for all my clubs. I chose the Navy for my irons and the white for my wedges and red four my driver and hybrid. Yes, I am ian American LOL. If I was going to choose one colour the white looks really good. I also bought tape so that I could make the grips + 4 grips. Plus added an additional layer of tape across the whole shaft. To make the grips between standard and mid. Install turned out great the grips feel good and look great. Definitely would recommend.

Great Alternative grips
I love the new grips, they look awesome and my buddies immediately purchased the same grips in different colors. We made it a party in my garage. Each grip was identical with no flaws, great consistent quality and the delivery was fast and efficient.

Wedge Guys Grips & grip tape
Both of these products are excellent. Wedge Guys offer grips to suit every type of golfer. Over the past three years, I’ve purchased and installed more than 30 of their grips on my own clubs as well as on clubs for friends and family. The feedback has been universally positive — everyone loves the feel, the look, and the consistent performance in all weather conditions. And while it shouldn’t matter, the wide range of colours is a great bonus.
Is golf club grip tape different from regular tape?
Yes. The golf club grip tape is designed specifically for regripping golf clubs. It’s double-sided, strong, and made to bond perfectly with both the shaft and the grip. Regular tape can’t handle solvent activation or deliver the same secure hold.
How many clubs will your golf grip tape cover?
A 2" x 36-yard roll of Wedge Guys Golf Grip Tape can regrip about 60 clubs, while a 2" x 18-yard roll covers around 30 clubs. That’s enough to regrip your full set multiple times.
Can I use water with this tape?
No. This golf grip tape is solvent-activated only, not water-activated. Always use grip solvent during installation for the best results and a secure, professional bond.
Do I need extra layers to build up grip size?
If your grips feel too thin, you can add extra layers of golf club grip tape before installing your new grips. Each added layer slightly increases grip thickness, helping you achieve the perfect fit for your hands.
What’s the difference between solvent and water-activated golf grip tape?
Solvent-activated golf grip tape utilizes a grip solvent to slide the grip onto the shaft and dries quickly, providing a strong, long-lasting hold. In contrast, water-activated tape relies on water and takes longer to dry. Wedge Guys Grip Tape is solvent-activated—preferred by most clubmakers for its fast setup, cleaner finish, and reliable performance on every golf club grip.
