Aligning the new grip correctly can be difficult. If the grip you are cutting off is correctly aligned, make the shaft with a dry erase marker before cutting it off.

Use a hook blade instead of a straight blade to cut the grip off. This will help prevent damaging the shaft, especially for graphite shafts.

To remove old stubborn grip tape, use a grip tape remover or heat the tape up with a heat gun or hair dryer. Shop Grip Tape Remover

Use more solvent than you think you will need. It is always better to use too much than not enough. If you don't use enough, the grip may get stuck halfway on. Our solvent is reusable, so there is more than enough to do a full set. SHOP SOLVENT
